Porchfest Topples Music Midtown in Festival Face-Off; Holding Lead Over Shaky Knees

Oakhurst Porchfest single-handedly defeated Music Midtown in Round 2 of Curbed’s “Festival Face-Off”.  Now we’re set to take out Atlanta’s other mega-music event – Shaky Knees.  (You are welcome all-other-festival-contestants!) With only a few minutes left to vote in this Final Eight round, Porchfest is holding onto a lead.

CLICK HERE and give Porchfest a few more votes and send us to the Final Four!

Polls closed and another behemoth crumbles. 😉

On to the Final Four where we’ll humble ourselves against the mighty Inman Park!

The Final Four is live, where we’re up against Inman Park and presently getting killed. Bring the OAK:

Pardon my ignorance, but is there a reason why the Decatur Book Festival was excluded from this exercise? Seems like that would trump all in terms of national notoriety and significance. Especially confusing since the Decatur Arts Festival is on there instead. The DAF is great and all, but it’s got a lot of analogs (the Dogwood Festival especially) around town and isn’t on par with Porchfest or the DBF in terms of originality.
