    Bleu Hanger Expands Into Meldora Salon Space

    You may have noticed while stewing about the traffic light timing at South Candler and East College that the long-time Meldora Hair Salon has been replaced by an expanded Bleu Hanger.

    Both Meldora and Bleu Hanger are owned by Meldora Skaggs, who opened the first Meldora Hair Salon back in 2000.  According to a recent profile in DHS’ 3TEN, Skaggs closed Meldora “not because of [her] loss of desire for styling. She ‘needed something new, a new chapter.’ ”

    Now Bleu Hanger has more spacious digs, and benefits from extensive storefront real estate, as you can see in Next Stop…Decatur’s photo above!

      I’m a dude. I will likely never set foot in that store, but WOW is that a great showcase while sitting at that light. I’d be giddy if I owned that store and was able to show off so much in those windows.
