I hope Dr. Dude’s independent investigation of the Riley matter can proceed quickly (and thoroughly obviously). In addition to Ms Riley’s life being in limbo, the information vacuum is being filled with conjecture which is not healthy for our town.
I hope someone stops to ask: I wonder what role the former principal and current COO of the school district had in all of this? Was there a culture of bullying among the staff prior to last school year? Does this episode fit into a pattern of toxic staff relations at DHS that started last school year? What is the common toxic denominator in last year’s staff problems and this sorry episode?
Words cannot possibly capture my excitement for this (potential) cat cafe.
While I wish the best for the “cat cafe,” I expect it will be challenging to introduce new cats up for adoption into a place of business that already has 10-15 cats. Good chance for cat fights, runaways, spraying and other delightful diversions.
Then again… maybe that’s a feature not a problem. Will she allow betting on the cat fights?
