Shout out to my Great Aunt Sylvia who I was surprised to see in The Secret to a Long Life video. She’s the one who credits volunteerism and dark chocolate!
Ha! That’s pretty great! Glad I was able to help bring that to your attention. Happy Holidays altmod!
Just imagine all the history the people in that video have witnessed. I love listening to them, because personal experience is so much more fascinating than anything in books or on TV.
So often, their memory is as clear as day, and hearing their take on events like Pearl Harbor, Apollo 11, the Cuban missile crisis, end of the Cold War, Iranian hostages, etc. is a never-ending source of fascination for me. They have lived through so much, great and awful, and I never tire of hearing about all of it.
