UPDATED: Mysterious Tiny Door Still There Along West Ponce

UPDATE: In the comments, Gwyneth points out this is the same door as back in July. 🙂

Laura and Mary recently sent in pics of a new “tiny door” along West Ponce near the old Chocolate Bar spot in the Artisan.

You may recall that FMFats sent in a pic back in July of a very similar door at this location.

Mary followed up with Tiny Doors Atlanta on their Facebook page.  They replied, “We like it! That one isn’t ours, but it’s nice to know that people are feeling inspired! :)” #tinydoorsatl”.

And here’s a close up of the door, courtesy of Mary.

  1. Looks like the same door to me, minus the QR sticker. I walk by almost every day and check that it is still there. Never noticed it having gone missing and reappearing. It makes me smile every time.

As the link in the July post mentions, I think it was a “Door Project” door, not a “Tiny Door ATL”. In fact, if you go to the Door Project FB page and scroll down to July 21, you’ll see this door…

  2. Ever been to Ann Arbor MI? They have these “fairy doors” all over. Kids like to search them out throughout town, kinda like a scavenger hunt.

    Go Blue.

    1. One of our (TinyDoorsATL) directors is from Ann Arbor! We’re hoping to cultivate something similar here in Atlanta, with a focus on art and wonder. We decided that in Atlanta it might be more appropriate for people to decide what’s behind the door for themselves. (Maybe fairies, maybe gnomes, maybe tiny street artists working in their tiny studios…)

      1. A2 is great!
Berkeley Smerkeley….Ann Arbor is just a great town. Should Decatur meet Ann Arbor it would be so lucky,

  3. Hi! Thank you for thinking of us in this piece. While TinyDoorsATL hasn’t left Atlanta city limits yet, we’re coming to Decatur soon! (In fact, our first door of 2015 is going up near Decatur Square…shhh.)

  4. I ran into the artist that is does this (may or may not be the same one) on the beltline https://twitter.com/tinydoorsatl

She had a cute door at the bridge on the beltline that had a Christmas tree. I think there is another in the Krog tunnel
