The last time I saw the signs they had been moved to W. Howard, the area that is now free parking for construction guys but off-limits to us ordinary folks. The picture shown has to be from a couple of weeks ago. The place where the signs were then has all been torn up. But the fact that the signs were not immediately recycled does indicate that somebody might be interested in preserving them.

If they keep Dairy Queen’s patio does it count as a renovation?

I’m headed out to that fence tonight with wire clippers and my Hogan’s Heroes style costume. I want those bad boys in my yard! Shhh… don’t tell Decatur PD.

I think these signs should stay posted until Dairy Queen returns as promised. Kind of like the Westchester: A Community Learning for Life sign stayed up until it reopened.

I think “promised” may be too strong of a word.

Yeah, all the more reason to keep the signs up. Makes it harder to not bring Dairy Queen back. Worked for Westchester.

LOL. What worked for Westchester was the apparent incessant procreation of the residents and the continued advertising of how great CSD is for students. If enrollment had stayed steady with what it was a decade ago, Westchester would still be empty of students and we would not be engaged in the building spree that has gone on non-stop since that time. I do believe that Lyn M. with the city will do everything in her power to bring back DQ. No one wants to go into retirement labeled as “the lady who killed Dairy Queen in Decatur”!
