Decatur Beer Festival Brewery List and Map Now Available

    Decatur Metro | October 14, 2014 | 9:26 am

We’re just a few days out from the 2014 Decatur Beer Festival, so if you have tickets, you may want to  view the brewery list for this year’s event along with a map of booth locations HERE.

The expanding presence of Georgia-based breweries and many newcomers should make for an interesting array of choices this year.

Incidentally, due to unforeseen circumstances my group has had to cancel our beer festival attendance. If there happens to be anyone out there who’s looking for tickets, I’ve got 4 that I’m willing to part with at cost. It still pains me to acknowledge that I won’t be able to go this year, but I’d hate to see the tickets go to waste.

Peter, I would happily buy 2 of those passes off of you. Let me know how you would like to get in touch.

It looks like my response is stuck in moderation, so I’ll try this again. You can email me at [email protected] . The tickets are mobile tickets, so they’re not printable. If that doesn’t work for you I can see if they can be reissued as print-at-home.

Wow. Looks like everything on top of the MARTA plaza is from Georgia. About a third of the total presence. That’s really impressive, and a testament to the explosive growth of Georgia’s craft beer industry.

Now, if we could just get some elected officials who were willing to fight the distribution system…

(seriously, the distribution system in GA is ridiculous – a brewery in Macon has to sell their beer to a distributor in Savannah. The beer is shipped all the way down there, then back up to Macon for sale in the town where it was brewed.)
