    Decatur Metro | November 20, 2013 | 3:54 pm

From the City of Decatur website…

East Trinity Place will be closed between North Candler Street and Church Street while a new storm drainage line is installed in front of Fire Station No. 1.  The road closure will start on Saturday, November 23, and is expected to end on Wednesday, November 27.  A detour plan will be published on Friday, November 22, and detour signs will be posted throughout the area.

How is the fire department planning to deal with this closure right in front of the station?

They installed Turbo Boost on all of the fire trucks.

Just a warning to the “ODBs” (Old Decatur Boys) who use the old alley from Sycamore to East Trinity to avoid the crosswalk from Hell in front of the Church Street MARTA station, it’s almost impossible to turn left from the alley onto East Trinity. Better to use the Commerce underpass to get to south Decatur/DeKalb.
