It’s the War on Christmas, don’cha know?
I think the City is being responsive again. I have moaned and groaned for years that I wish I could have a brief break between Halloween and the ThanksgivingXmastreebuyingClairemontCafeMarketHannukahXmasKwanzaNewYears marathon holiday. I appreciate waiting until the thermometer has hit 40 degrees at least once before putting up the wreaths.
On the other hand, once the wreaths are up, they look so nice that I’d be ok with them staying up for weeks longer than they do. After New Year’s, my stress levels are down and I can actually enjoy the decorations. (I realize that I’m representing the stressed out mother point of view, not the point of view of local businesses who want us to shop early and often.)
But why are the tree shapes upside down? What am I missing?

How’d you DO that? 😀
I had the very same thought yesterday. I don’t get it.
+1
I don’t get the upside down trees. Looks weird.
Bunch of foreigners must have put them up wrong.
And they got them from Walmart and Family Dollar. Have you seen Oakhurst since they put that chain store in? I can’t tell if I’m in Decatur or Alpharetta.
What am I missing? I don’t see any upside down trees.
I think they are beards
I DISLIKE the triangles! Are they upside down Christmas trees??? Very awkward.
Wasn’t there a trend a few years ago of standing trees inside the home on their tops?
And I thought keeping water in the stand was a PITA before…
How many Decaturites does it take to change a light bulb?
That depends. Is the light bulb sustainably sourced and environmentally friendly? Does it have filaments in the district?
I think it’ an LED now, not a light bulb.
