Pumpkin-Flavored Morning Metro: DeKalb Cityhood Talk, Glendale Gets New Drain and ATL Beer Week
Decatur Metro | October 19, 2012 | 9:51 am
- Cityhood for DeKalb being studied [AJC]
- Drain replacement on Glendale Ave Monday [COD]
- Atlanta Beer Week events in Decatur starting tomorrow [The Decatur Minute]
- Atlanta is the 2nd most affordable housing market behind Detroit [AJC]
- Chevy Volt drivers suffer from “gas anxiety” [NYT]
- One man’s attempt to eat every pumpkin-flavored item at Trader Joe’s [Grantland]

I don’t get it. How many Trader Joe’s are there in Pasedena? And, one won’t do well in Decatur? Seems silly.
Thank you, Atlanta Beer Week officials, for not scheduling activities on Sunday. How considerate! God Bless.
Signed
Mary Latimer McLendon (channeling through C. Billingsley)
P.S.- If you ever stroll through the original Decatur Cemetery, please stop by my gravesite to say hello. I’m not as famous as my sister so I don’t get as much attention as she does but hey, I have a monument at the capital building, so there!
Given a choice between becoming a part of the City of DeKalb and being annexed by Decatur, I’ll take Decatur every time!
