Julie Andrews Coming to Little Shop of Stories

    Decatur Metro | April 20, 2010 | 9:45 am

UPDATE: Post has been updated with a date and time, thanks to Little Shop’s comment below.  Note this is only a book-signing, no presentation.

    ——————————————————

Since apparently someone (I’m looking at you Mayor Floyd) let the cat of the bag at last night’s city commission meeting, I guess I don’t need to keep this under wraps anymore.

Julie Andrews will be signing from her new children’s book at Little Shop of Stories on May 21st from 2p-4p.

Looks like LSOS is playing in the big leagues now, ever since their big Neil Gaiman “get” last year.

More details as they come in, but the event is limited to only 200 people.

    Huge congrats to Little Shop!!

Little Shop of Stories is a Decatur Metro sponsor.

Man! Maybe she should speak at the new DHS auditorium so more folks can attend. What is she reading? As a child of the 60’s, I find this very exciting.

      Hi Everyone!

We are just confirming details and here is what we know so far:

Julie will be at the shop on Friday, May 21st from 2pm to 4pm. She will only be signing copies of her new picture book The Very Fairy Princess. We will be giving out 200 tickets for the signing line, and we will announce in the next week how tickets can be obtained.

Julie will not be presenting but people in the signing line will have the opportunity to chat with her while getting their books signed.

We are currently scheduling auditions for the roles of Liesl and Rolfe.

Climb every mountain, search high and low
Follow every byway, every path you know.
Climb every mountain, ford every stream,
Follow every rainbow, ’til you find your dream!

      A dream that will need
all the love you can give,
      Every day of your life
for as long as you live.

Climb every mountain, ford every stream,
Follow every rainbow, ’til you find your dream!

      (Julie Andrews ROCKS!!!)
