Saw the Atlanta streetcar rolling along Edgewood this morning–pretty snazzy-looking. Streetcar probably wouldn’t have been my top choice for a major infrastructure investment, but I hope it turns out to be useful for tourists and for people living in that section of the Old Fourth Ward.
Was Baton Bob leading it?
Yes.
Never had Pappy — in fact I’ve never even seen it in person — but at this point it can’t possibly live up to the hype. And what would a single glass cost, even if you could find it? $100? I’ll stick with the many other very fine bourbons that can be had for (somewhat) reasonable prices.
Incidentally the WSJ said something similar a few weeks ago. What surprised me was that in the same article the author ranked domestic Surryano ham above Spain’s acorn-fed Iberico ham, which was also (in his opinion) over-hyped.
