Jimmy John’s To Open in Old Tastings Space at 330 West Ponce
Decatur Metro | August 13, 2010Oakhurst Realty Partners tips us off via Twitter that a Jimmy John’s Gourmet Sandwiches will be moving into the old Tastings space in the 330 West Ponce de Leon condo building.
Jimmy John’s is a nationwide sandwich shop franchise out of Champaign, Illinois, established in 1983 in Charleston, Illinois. There look to be about a dozen in the Atlanta metro area, with the current closest one to Decatur on Peachtree Street in downtown Atlanta.
Here’s the menu!
I think that’s a good addition to our local casual food mix. I think their sandwiches are much tastier than Subway and Blimpie – and roughly the same price. Also, the stores are much nicer looking than Subway and Blimpie.
A tuna sub at Jimmy John’s is probably my favorite (and most frequently eaten) fast food item.
Plus it’s fun to say.
No joke…this place is like Jersey Mikes but better. This is SWEET! I know…its a chain….but its a good one.
I only ever happen to eat alfalfa sprouts because Jimmy John’s includes them on their Turkey Tom sangwich; mmm . . . sprouts!
And they deliver! I’m psyched!
Sounds like a good fit, especially with Quiznos having closed. Wonder if they considered that available space.
Think they’ll honor an old Tastings gift card?! I wish!
Psyched! Well, as long as we’re being open-minded about chains, sure would be nice to get a Manhattan Bagel here…
Awesome. I work right next door at 315.
So excited!!!! One of my and my husband’s favorite quick-service restaurants!
Just don’t forget about Sawickis as well. Best sandwich joint in town!
Agreed!
I’m pretty sure JJ’s can’t match her shrimp po-boy. Mmmmm…now I’m thinking about it!
