The Race is On

April 17, 2009 | 2:14 pm

Carl reports on Twitter that the Zoning Board of Appeals’ Kyle Williams will run for the Decatur City Commission District 2 slot (everything south of the tracks except Agnes Scott) to replace the out-going Mary Alice Kemp this fall. I sent an email to Kyle yesterday to confirm, but haven’t yet received a response.

No word on District 1 candidates yet.

Stay tuned.

How is it that there’s only one item with the tag “Carl Knows Too Much”? Seem like there should be a whole cloud of posts with that tag.

That is great news. Kyle would have my vote, but I am no longer there.
Decatur would be well served by Kyle Williams.

Mayor Emerita Wilson is chairing Kyle’s campaign. There will also likely be another well-known contender challenging Boykin for District 1, but I’ll wait until that is official. Thanks for the kind words, Daren (and for the cool new tag, Nick!). :)

Hard to come up with an endorsement stronger than Emerita Wilson…
