Work Begins on New Mellow Mushroom in Downtown Decatur

Jan sends in this photo that shows that renovation work has finally begun on the new Mellow Mushroom location in Downtown Decatur in the former Sno-Ball Cafe/Dos Madres space on West Ponce.   (Note the workers in florescent yellow and dumpster tucked behind the westside of the building.)

Mellow Mushroom closed the doors of its longtime CVS plaza location back in May 2014.  At the time, they said they looked forward to returning to Decatur in the future.  Now is that future!

In locationally-related news, Decaturish reported recently that Highland Bakery across the street will finally be ready to open by the end of the summer.
