Breakfast with Santa Tickets Now on Sale

These usually go quite fast! Breakfast with Santa tickets are now available for purchase HERE. This year’s DBA sponsored event will be at the Decatur Courtyard by Marriott at 130 Clairemont Ave on Saturday, December 20th from 8a to 10a.
Here’s a bit more detail from the DBA website…
Santa makes his grand entrance, arriving on a City of Decatur fire truck, and then the fun begins. Enjoy a delicious breakfast buffet and fill out those wish lists to share with Santa. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for children under 12. Only 300 tickets are available on a first come, first served basis and will be available for purchase online only.

I really like this corny, homey, traditional Decatur event. I don’t get to do it anymore, boo hoo 🙁 , so I’ll give advice instead: get to event EARLY!!!! because 1) Santa arrives ON TIME and 2) you want to stake out a good table–either near the entertainment if there is any or near Santa so you can get on line to meet Santa AS SOON AS Santa arrives (or even before if they’ll let you). If you miss the early opportunity to get on line to meet Santa/get photo then just relax, get food, watch the entertainment, and let the line dissipate naturally. Waiting on line for an hour to see Santa does NOT foster holiday cheer.
Thanks for tips. Our 2-year-olds are just beginning to grasp this Santa Claus character (“He bring me presents!”), and already have a deep and abiding love of firetrucks, not to mention breakfast, so this is like the nexus of awesome for them. Sold!
The arrival by fire truck is a stroke of genius.
Hey, it’s red and white and covered with shiny things, can cut through traffic ensuring timely gift delivery, and has a ladder to facilitate rooftop/chimney access (he can inspect for excess creosote while he’s up there, preventing potential chimney fires). SYNERGY.
