Housing styles are like clothing styles–if you keep something long enough, it will be in fashion again. So my 1960, 3 bedroom, 1 bath 1000 sq ft home is now the ‘next big thing’?

In this market, a tent in the Decatur city limits would be the next big thing.

But my 1,200 sq ft 1948 ranch will be even bigger!

“Small homes are the next big thing” . . . let me know the first time this phrase it uttered by one of the Decatur developers who have adorned our neighborhoods with “coming soon” signs.
