Grindhouse Killer Burgers is considering building a fourth Atlanta location in downtown Decatur.

The proposed location is 433 North McDonough Street, which you all may know as “the school bus parking lot behind Chick-Fil-A”.

Asst. City Manager Lyn Menne confirmed that Grindhouse is considering the space.  The Downtown Development Authority did a courtesy review of the project in September where it was determined that the project met all zoning requirements.

We reached out to the good folks at Grindhouse, but they had no official comment  at this point because the project is still tentative.  Stay tuned!

Lots of new information re: Suburban Plaza from the informative Medlock Area Neighborhood Association website …

• Walmart construction is scheduled to begin in October 2014, with the store expected to open on February or March of 2016.

• LA Fitness (old Winn Dixie building) has been granted their land disturbance permit and is in the process of applying for their building permit. Demolition of that building should begin soon.

• The Starbucks drive-through SLUP was approved by the Board of Commissioners on September 23.

• Selig plans to begin facade and parking lot renovations in January 2015.

• Selig is in final negotiations with two junior anchor tenants.  As soon as the contracts are signed, they will release their names.

I live in the city of Decatur and a friend of mine, Anraya, lost her 2 year old blue pit bull named Denali or nickname is Nali yesterday evening. Last seen on Joyce Ave in Decatur. She’s 60-65 lbs. Photos are attached of her. She does not have a collar on. Is there anyway that you could post this information on your blog for your readers to see?
