Native’s exec chef is a Depeaux veteran? Good to know! I wonder if they’ll have Depeaux’s absurdly cheap & strong $2 frozen margaritas and ridiculously boozey hurricanes….
Is Depeaux “sorely missed” for its food or its margaritas and hurricanes? I haven’t been by the Depeaux lately. Is there any work going on for the new place from the BSP crew?
There was an item on the HPC agenda a month of so ago about replacing the doors, I think. I haven’t heard or seen much movement since.
I seem to recall a brouhaha over the doors with the HPC when the Depeaux did its buildout.
Depeaux’s food was pretty good, but not for the price point they wanted ($30 entrees? Lol no).
I am not ashamed to admit that I sorely miss the drink specials. Especially with a side of fried alligator bites, mmm.
I always enjoyed the Thai Garlic when it was in that location. I wonder why it didn”t survive?
