Decatur Metro | January 18, 2012- Neurosurgeon and humanitarian Ben Carson to speak at Emory graduation [AJC]
- Cliff Bostock goes vegetarian at Community Q and isn’t disappointed [CL]
- Melton’s reopens to larger than expected crowds [Champion]
- DM back on GA Tech syllabus! [CS 4472]
- Take that Michigan! Georgia 8th most populous state according to some projection [ABC]
- Poem: “Digging” by Seamus Heaney [Poetry Foundation]
- Can you pass this 8th grade test from 1912? [WaPost]
must try community Q a.s.a.p!! (although technically if the black eyed peas have bacon they aren’t vegetarian )
1912 8th grade test: I liked it. I miss parsing and diagramming (my elementary school was WAY behind the times and used ancient textbooks.) And what is kalomining and a “dodr”? What was a “Magnetic”? What were the battles of Great Meadows and Buena Vista?
RE DM being on the GA Tech course syllabus, especially Comments: So what credit do we all get for this? Can I put GA Tech Instructor on my resume?
Thanks for the Seamus Heaney.
Absolutely loving the Seamus Heaney this morning.
Michigan will come back…a state that beautiful can’t be in the dumps forever!
Heaney also one of my all-time faves. Read one of his poems at our wedding, in fact. Thanks!
Yes…black eyed peas with bacon. Obviously vegetarian!
Pig is the new neutral.
