Sammiches n’ Stuff Going In Below Eddie’s Attic

November 25, 2009 | 9:00 am

sammiches

I had heard about this new sandwich (and more) shop going in below Eddie’s Attic about a week ago, but was looking for a little more info before posting.

This morning Billy sends in a pic of a sign in the window and that’s good enough for me!  After a closer inspection I can tell you that tomatoes, pickles, olives and lettuce will all make appearances on the menu. :-)

But seriously, I’ve heard that this is a sandwich, salad and smoothie sorta joint.  And heaven knows I’m always up for a sandwich…I mean “sammwich”.  Also, it’s great to see the old Little Shop/Jake’s space back in play, since it’s the only first floor retail on that side of the Square.

If they have good salads for under $8, I predict a winner.

I’m thinking about boycotting based on the name alone. Unless those “sammiches” are *really* good, then I won’t.

Still looking for a replacement for 5th Earl, which now looks like it’s never coming back. Maybe this is it, but at first blush, this looks more like they’re going for a more kid-friendly, middle-of-the-road vibe.

I’m with Paula. Gonna have to be pretty darn tasty for me to eat a “sammich”. And don’t get me started on the “stuff”!

That logo what, LeftWing? Hurts your eyes like it does mine?

You know, the owner still has time to rethink his/her marketing plan….

I don’t think I would boycott a place because of a name – eating a sammich can be fun! And that logo is kinda fun too I think. I’m going to give it a try for sure!

Cute sign/logo. If that is driven by creativity, the food should be great! Can’t wait to try it out. That’s a nice area too.

I think the logo is a genius creation! And I don’t get how people are talking about the name—I think it’s cute and grabs your attention and makes people talk—got you all talking, didn’t it? THAT is marketing, people!
