I really like the idea of smaller home communities. Sometimes simplicity is more. And it would allow some people to purchase instead of rent that could not afford to buy in the Decatur area. Many middle class people are being priced out of the Decatur market in my opinion. A 1500 square foot home easily and quickly sells for 400K in the Oakhurst area currently. Homes twice that size are going for 600-800K without a view!!! That is insane. I truly believe there is a market for "tiny houses" as they say. Just my two cents. I am moving to Marietta where there are still good schools and I can afford to buy a house twice this size for half the money. I will miss Decatur of course.
