This was only the second keynote I’ve attended and I’m really glad I did. Couldn’t stick around for the signing, but I did get Nate Powell to sign my copy after his event on Saturday. His other work looks pretty interesting as well.

For that alone, it was a great Decatur Book Festival, but there were lots of other things that made it a wonderful weekend.

I always forget how popular these are and fail to arrive early enough. Also, a small complaint: One of the large Marriott event rooms (the one on the left when facing the doors) apparently had no air conditioning Saturday afternoon and was miserably hot.
Otherwise, the festival keeps getting better. Good to see that the high school auditorium was back in use this year and that the remodeled rec center was added to the venue mix.
