I was running up Ponce & came upon the situation right after she was hit. The driver was very distraught.

My latest story is a new woman on the route. She apparently worked late into life and only recently gave up, due to illness, her job. She’s more than a little mixed up these days, but there’s still a very sharp mind at work a inside the fog. She’s a retired psychologist who spent much of her career doing assessments. After we talked for a while she said,”I’ve really enjoyed talking with you,” and I said, “I’ve really enjoyed talking to you as well.” She looked me straight in the eye and said, “I know you have.”
