So in other words, are these banners appearing on lampposts adjacent to establishments that will actually have the new brews (in the case of the photo above that would appear to be The Marlay)? If so, that is very clever and functional.

We look at these requests on a case by case basis. We allowed Nalley to install banners for their Arbor Day event and the Book Festival and Arts Festival installed banners in the past. In this instance, we are celebrating a new, local business who asked if they could use the lamp posts to identify other local businesses who are carrying their product on the day they launch. They are paying a rental fee for the use of the street lamps by way of a donation to the Decatur Youth Fund which helps provide scholarships for after school, summer camps and enrichment programs offered through Decatur Active Living and Decatur Children and Youth Services. We also reviewed the artwork before approving the request.
