Also most railroads have dash cams now on their trains or will so have them just for these types of events. I know AMTRAK have them on all their long distance trains.]]></description>

And, you&#039;re right, it can have a psychological impact on the train crew, even in a minor accident.  The engineer and the conductor would have been in the cab.]]></description>

The train can&#039;t swerve and, unless they get a lot of warning, no way to stop in time to avoid hitting something on the tracks.
