They had some sort of bright spackling on the walls and tried to give our old southern depot a Bourbon Street feel. Never worked for me – at all. I’d love to have the feel, next time I’m in there, that I’m in a restored southern train depot. The one in Woodstock does the trick. But the point is, opinions are like . . . you know. Particularly when it comes to ascetics, which is why we are so lucky to have this blog – so we can prove that.
