Completely, totally agree with this. As someone relatively new to Atlanta, and someone who has occasionally been in the wrong lane, I can promise you that NO ONE will let you in. In fact they will do the opposite and purposely block you. I’ve found just about everyone here to be friendly when you’re talking to them, but put those same people behind the wheel of their cars and everything changes.

Pretty accurate except for “A-Town”
I’ve been here 18 years and never heard anyone call it that.

I think everything in the article is pretty accurate except the assertion that Atlanta drivers will graciously let you change lanes. My experience is (and has been for 20 years) that most people on the expressway had rather eat dirt with a spoon than let you change lanes, even when it won’t inconvenience them one bit.
