Java Monkey has AWESOME panini sandwiches (full sandwich plus side) for $7.50. The husband is a big fan of the Cranky (chicken, cranberry, etc., I believe) — and I am a regular orderer of the Bella Prosciutto (apples, honey, prosciutto, cheddar, basil aioli). Mmmmm. We liked our first taste of Victory Sandwich Bar but actually think Java Monkey’s sandwiches are better — and cheaper!

Have you had the Big Tex benedict w/ smoked ham and collards (and I think biscuit)? Delish. I think under $10, but I didn’t see their brunch menu online.

Looking through these, it’s interesting that only person picked breakfast (if “Chinese breakfast at Steinbecks” is in fact breakfast ). The Eggs Benedict on a biscuit that Pastries a Go Go does on weekends tempts me like little else in Decatur. I get it with a fresh fruit cup (bowl really) so feel less guilty. $8.50.
