Anyone else notice that? I don’t totally get it but my hard-to-articulate impression is that 378 is one of the most prestigious prefixes, with 377, 373, 370, and 371 close behind. Everything else is just ok. 678 is for cell phones. 633 is postal, not City of, Decatur.

And I KNOW this is a first world problem.

When I returned to the area decades later, I must admit I was pleased when I got a 373 telephone number.
