It took me a while to figure out the location but now I know it is in the eastern section of the old cemetery, at the road that some suggest was the dividing line between the white and black sections (although I have always thought that there was no clear boundary). Not only is it a beautiful visual but a very interesting area of the cemetery. Close by the obelisk is the grave of Elzy Baker Reynolds, who served during the War of 1812 and later served in various DeKalb and Atlanta government agencies. There are also two Revolutionary War veterans buried close by as well as Civil War author Mary Gay. Thanks Al.
