He'll stay calm under there until they arrive... We did it once for a Cooper's hawk that hit a tree in our yard. The DeKalb County Animal Services Dept. gave us the nuber to a different non-profit org that specialized in just this kind of thing. Cost us a few bucks, but it was worth it to save such a magnificent creature. This from their site:If you find a sick, injured or newly dead crow, blue jay or raptor, please report the find to the DeKalb County Board of Health, then contact DeKalb County Animal Services and Enforcement at 404-294-2996. My experience trying to catch an injured Red Tail Hawk was, well, interesting. Maybe you are more comfortable around large talons thrashing around than I am. (I brought them a pigeon once, and the kind folks there treated him as though he were a bald eagle.)
