I have always wanted to take this class. I know that police work is tough but no one truly understands the risks involved until you participate in or watch a traffic stop. This is a great opportunity for residents. God bless our police officers who put their lives on the line to protect us everyday.

No thanks. I’ve been in the back of a DPD car once. Not in any hurry to do it again, regardless of the circumstances.

I think it is safe to assume that all aspects of raising revenue — I mean protecting the public, yeah, that’s the ticket — will be on display.

One class, eight sessions. There’s more info on the link. You need to attend six of the eight classes, do a ride-along and pass a test to “graduate”. There doesn’t appear to be any requirement that you divulge your DM screen name but, in your case, it might actually help. I think I’ll put mine on there anyway and DARE them to accept me

I’m pretty sure it is a series of 8 different class meetings. I definitely wouldn’t want to be a truant for this course!

I’m in if a portion of the ride-along is devoted to ticketing cyclists.
