It will be updated as new information is available. This neighborhood borders ours and some of its residents come to meetings at the Church at Decatur Heights. I didn’t know Mr. Johns, but from all reports he was somebody I would have liked to have known. The mystery is why anyone would want to kill him. I hope the DeKalb Police find out who and why soon, and justice is served. I was born in Decatur Heights 2/3 century ago, and can’t remember a murder along Sycamore Drive or any street near it.
