Even if they have been monogamous life partners for decades, they won&#039;t be considered each other&#039;s next of kin because they were never allowed to be married, even though they desperately wanted to be, and have lived their lives as if they were married, with all the love and commitment that entails. In that context, how is it not an infringement on their civil rights to forbid them to marry?]]></description>
