The Pad Thai at Tin Drum sucks as does its hot and sour soup. Everything else is just meh. Check out Little Bangkok on Cheshire Bridge and you’ll know why. Theirs is the best on the planet.

Actually, I think both are pretty good. DC is a regular haunt and Tin Drum has a couple of menu items that I like.

My husband adores Doc Chey’s. I have to admit that I preferred an earlier iteration better.

I wish them luck but I think “Tin Drum” is a weird name for a restaurant. At least it should be a Polish restaurant. Am I the only one reminded of the Gunter Grass novel? There are a lot of adjectives to describe that novel, but the list does not include “appetizing.”

OK, I will admit it, my name is J_T is and I love Doc Chey’s. You can stick your “authenticity” where the sun don’t shine (or where it does, for that matter) and I will happily munch away on my Thai coconut red curry with tofu. I might even cheat on the no-meat thing for a cup of the coconut chicken soup.

Damn, now I seem to be craving coconut…
