They’re fairly affluent, homes hold their value and I’m pretty surprised they couldn’t do anything to stop this. But this situation accurately depicts the problems with Dekalb, they’re going to do whatever they want to despite anything else. I wouldn’t want my kid going to school in a building with a big a** tower on top of it, especially at the expense of currently used play/instructional space.

Of course there were other factors that went into our decision but this was truly the one that told us DeKalb County School District is not the place for us. I know there isn’t much evidence to PROVE that the towers are bad for your health but we’re talking about kids and their teachers being next to it every single day. Why take the chance? I’m with you in hoping something like this wouldn’t happen in CSD.
