Is it saying that it just so happens that each of the 13 districts has a member of the Top 10%? Wouldn’t it be very likely that a district might have multiple schools in the Top 10? If I’m reading it right, then I guess it’s just listing the school with the highest score for that particular district, and any other school that may be in the Top 10% doesn’t get listed?

I guess it’s good that each district has at least one school in the Top 10%.

I just think it’s a strange way to list the schools, for both categories actually, but maybe it’s just me that was confused. That could certainly be the case.

Not sure if a school can be honored in both categories. The best situation for a “Greatest Gains” school would be if it was also in the Top 10% by achievement scores. If a school went from the bottom level to the 50th percentile of achievement, it’s a great gain but there’s still a long way to go. (Not saying that’s what happened to Clairemont.)

City of Decatur is in the 5th.
