Not that I’ve ever seen. It would make sense to do so though.. Lots of visitors down there catch the train to Lenox, so why not Decatur?

Does Decatur distribute their brochures to hotels in downtown/Midtown Atlanta?

Though I agree with your comments in general, it should be noted that the MLK Center attracts more visitors than either of those two. It needs to be more accessible, however. Hopefully the streetcar will address that need.

My wife frequently comes into contact with people here on business who are staying in hotels in and around Peachtree Center. When they ask where they should eat, she usually tells them to hop on MARTA and check out Decatur. They have always thanked her for that advice. Too many people who visit Atlanta only see the “tourist trap” district, with the Hooters and Hard Rock Cafe, overpriced hotel restaurants, and aggressive panhandlers, so it is no wonder they leave with a bad impression.
