Indeed. The release says “students and their families are not responsible for paying the cost of tuition, books and charges for eligible courses.” So… does that mean the city is paying? I am extremely wary of for-profit education companies.

if this costs any money, run away! the best programs out there are free, through USG schools. Check out the dual enrollment program at Georgia Perimeter College, or Move On When Ready. Both offer opportunities for students to graduate from BOTH high school and college, with an associate degree, walking right into a four year college as a junior. Decatur High has a long relationship with GPC.

DeVry is a for-profit company. They are NOT accredited by SACS. Their first priority is their investors, not education. Students will learn a hard lesson when they find out how much their “college degree” is really worth. Buyer beware!
