Does your software have a spellcheck feature? That would be “somewhat” helpful, but won’t do a damn thing for grammar. Spellcheck is pretty feeble, actually.

I don’t really mind either. It’s good for me, regardless of how much it sometimes smarts.

I just hope folks remember that I don’t have an editor and consider that it might take a personality that doesn’t obsess on grammar – but obsesses about other things – to start and maintain a site like this. If I spent any more energy on spelling and grammar, I’d have burnt out years ago.

Now if the grammarians want to raise money for me to hire an editor, I’m not sure I would turn them down…

(I think folks usually mean well when they correct stuff. After all, we all want DM to shine! Or maybe I’m wrong that he doesn’t want off the board help either… guess we’ll have to wait for Blog Etiquette 101 to find out!)

Well, all I can say is all of this talk about the slide of literary imagination and good grammar has reminded me of how AMAZING all of we Decaturonians are! Like, you know, um, AMAZING!!!!!
