I think you may have interpreted my initial comment to mean a gender preference for ANY doctor who treats me, so I tried to explain, which then got construed way beyond the original context by Keith. But yup, you & me are good. (For the humour impaired: yes, the use of improper grammar is deliberate.)

You’re right, I didn’t catch the joke. I thought it DID seem a bit harsh for you, so we’re good.

I respect your preference for whichever gender doctor your choose, and I would never criticize you for such. I was just making what I thought at the time was an innocent comment about not having a preference. Didn’t know it would turn into a scrum, with Gibbets doing his patented grenade-throwing of irrelevant commentary.

Really??? Do I not only have to use a smiley icon for you, but use a disclaimer to qualify something this specific to my prefernces as my opinion? That’s a little bit overwrought of you, don’t you think?

“But for you to put that on every other man-doctor/woman-patient relationship, in my opinion, is ridiculous.” What’s ridiculous is your apparent inability to actually comprehend what I expressly wrote, as evidenced by your completely overblown summarization. This is a fruitless exercise, since you seem intent upon being antagonized by whatever I say, so I won’t further ruffle your feathers. That is, unless you just like it, and then I’ll be happy to oblige you.
