Your energy assessment will outline several recommendations, as well as the cost and potential energy savings. You will work with your contractor to select which projects are right for your home and budget, while also meeting the energy saving targets of both rebate programs. All three of the participating contractors have been trained on the program and can help explain the details. Georgia Power has rebates specifically for electric water heaters, and Atlanta Gas Light recently announced a rebate program through June 30th for natural gas heaters. It’s a great time to make some upgrades!

I haven’t called to discuss the savings/install cost with them yet. Has anyone done this or does anyone have an electric vs gas and can give an idea of monetary savings it might provide? Might this fall under the Decatur rebate?

I would look at other contractors.
