Are the chances really that low? I think some folks sign up but then pick other options. I knew a family last year that signed up for DHS, Druid Hills, Paideia, and somewhere else. In the end, they went to Paideia.

well, i had NO idea that applications were accepted on a first come, first served basis. that is absurd and archaic, as noted above. chances of getting our daughter into 9th grade next year are slim to none now, but had I known more about the process, we would have had a shot. /end rant.

on a slightly different note, does anyone here know how many tuition students are typically accepted at DHS each year?

Ouch. Sorry, my kid has not attended the middle school and now I know it’s Renfroe. Thanks for the lesson. I’m good on knowing the difference between Clairemont and Clairmont .

The comment about tuition students helping improve Renfroe Middle were made by CSD employees at the 8th grade high school transition meeting. I am sure that is not the only factor, but it has made a positive difference.

Does CSD raise taxes? I thought the city did that and not the school system itself. Please someone correct me if I am wrong on this.
