Lost Sled Recovered

I’ve been in and out of town over the last couple of weeks and haven’t properly thanked the Decatur Metro community and Meg Rosselot specifically for helping to find our wayward sled. I’m very proud to live among such wonderful neighbors.

I guess what bugged me about this particular post was the inappropriate part. I know this will sound absurd, but I met the last guy I dated in the cemetery. We walk our dogs there everyday at the same time everyday, can’t go into detail because I know he reads this blog, but both of his parents are buried there.

I always try to figure out where flowers have been blown away from so I can put them back, sometimes you can, not usually. Picked up plenty of scarves and mittens and hung them on posts. I really do care what goes on there. It just made it sound like a bunch of cavalier scavengers were taking over, not the case.

And I hope this man found his sled.

Individual graves or family plots are owned by the families. They can put a stop to sledding over the graves if they want to.

Hmmm. Interesting point. Trash is disrespectful anywhere, especially in a cemetary. People walking and biking through scenic paths/roads of a historic cemetary, which is as much landmark as active cemetary? I think that’s ok. Sledding? Was it on the roads/paths? Empty lawn? Or over the graves? I think that makes a difference.

Just FYI to Karass descendants: You may walk, run, ski, sled, hula hoop on my grave, if I have one. I draw the line on smoking, bullying, and day trading.
