I have seen this same argument made by Repubicans/conservatives numerous times. What exactly do Republicans/conservatives hope to achieve by bringing up this point each time they think a Democrat/liberal has been insufficiently tolerant or considerate?

How do you respond to Democrats/liberals telling you how other Republicans/conservatives are such hypocrites every time their actions contradict their supposed beliefs (e.g. Bristol Palin’s out-of-wedlock baby, Larry Craig’s toe-tapping with men, etc.)?

I prefer to think this was just a good Southerner who didn’t see why he/she should park on asphalt when grass parking was available.

(Lest anyone think this is a mean-spirited comment, I myself park on a grass “driveway”. All that asphalt is killing our polar bears.)
