Last night I took an informal survey of the political science faculty at Emory. I sent them the ballot measure and asked to take their best educated guess as to what they thought they would be voting on. I got eight responses and no one had a clue what powers were being sought. I wonder what 68% of the voters thought they were approving.

I'm guessing this makes redevelopment in a way that is financially accretive to the City and CSD more difficult. Signs of desperation like this are short sighted. So I'd start by keeping mum about it and concentrate on making the city more attractive to investors.

My area....East Decatur Station/Columbia Park/Avondale Station. Also, since the Clifton Corridor might connect to Avondale Station, then redevelopment in this area seems like a no-brainer.
