I don’t know what the definition of a mailer is. Savvy Shopper is like a multipage newspaper insert but independent and shows up unsolicited in my mailbox ab out once a month. Unlike some others which are full of carpet cleaning and oil change coupons for businesses I’ve never heard of in locations I never plan to go, a good 5% of Savvy Shopper coupons are for establishments I actually patronize occasionally. I usually clip around 5 coupons per issue, although I have to admit I probably only use about one per year. My family is hard to herd to particular locations in particular time periods.

Top Spice delivers to Decatur area, something a lot of folks don’t realize. It’s pricey but perfect for when you have visitors but are too exhausted to cook anything impressive. The freebie Savvy Shopper always has decent coupons for Top Spice but they are for dining-in only, not pick up or delivery.

Ditto on the Golden Buddha; it’s like when I go to small town Alabama and the most mediocre Chinese and Mexican restaurants are packed. Don’t understand why one inside the perimeter would draw such crowds. As for Thai food near Decatur, I’ve always liked Top Spice at Toco Hills, especially for lunch. They are a little pricey for dinner. Love their spicy catfish.

I know someone who used to deliver for Pyng Ho. He emphatically told me “don’t eat there!” i always ordered from the Hunan Dragon when I lived across the street and it was always really good. Golden Buddha is, in my opinion, very average. I never understood why that place is always so packed. A friend of mine got violently ill after eating at Fortune Cookie one time so I’ve never ventured in there. Good Chinese is hard to find!!!

we always order chinese from hunan dragon in the strip across from publix, behind the chevron/mcdonalds, and we love going to the place next door to hunan dragon, Yami sushi. cheap, great and quiet!
