Remember when you got that letter from the Census saying they were going to send the form out a week later? And a week after they sent the form, they sent a followup letter.
And so many people said this was a waste of money, remember?

Well, turns out about 40 percent of DeKalb County didn't pay any attention to that. And it's much more expensive to send workers to followup than to get folks to mail them in.

So, those seemingly idiotic letters may have saved oodles of money, if the cost of mailing was recouped by the savings in having to do follow-up surveys.

ANSWER YOUR CENSUS, PEOPLE!!!
