If one had to lock a child in a car accidentally, would it be preferable for it to a hot day or a cold day? Considering factors such as the age of the child, amount of oxygen in the car (whether or not windows could be rolled down), and lack of water or food?

Assuming that police and firemen are dispatched asap, the child probably wouldn't have to wait more than 15 minutes?

A friend of mine did that at our daycare and the staff said that it happens all the time. It's upsetting but usually turns out ok. Much better than accidentally leaving one's child in carseat on top of roof. When I had babies and hadn't yet shook pregnancy-related memory loss, I would tell myself that I just had to remember one thing--Don't Leave the Baby on the Roof!!!
